Meet Scorpion

A few details help explain this feature. Four complete King-to-Ace runs clear the game. Scorpion on gykgbb.com uses one 52-card deck with four suits. Moves build down in the same suit rather than allowing cross-suit destinations. The tableau has seven columns.

The initial seven columns

The following details apply here. The first three cards in each of the first four columns are face down. Three cards remain in the stock. Each opening column contains seven cards for a total of 49 tableau cards. All cards in the last three columns are face up.

Check rank and suit together

A King cannot land on another card because no higher rank exists. A seven of hearts can land on an exposed eight of hearts. A seven of hearts cannot land on an eight of spades. A moved group's leading card must land on a card exactly one rank higher in the same suit.

Move exposed groups

The leading selected card still has to meet the destination rule. Any face-up card can be selected together with every card beneath it. The selected cards do not need to share a suit to travel together. The selected cards do not need to descend in rank to travel together.

Only Kings fill empty space

A few details help explain this feature. Cards beneath a moved King do not need to be in sequence. An empty column is therefore less flexible than an empty column in ordinary Spider. An empty column accepts a King or a group led by a King. A group led by a lower rank cannot enter an empty column.

Reveal the hidden cards

The following details apply here. An exposed card can carry the cards beneath it when its own destination is legal. The next hidden card is revealed automatically. Removing all face-up cards above a hidden card turns that hidden card face up. Undo restores the earlier hidden-card arrangement when the move is reversed.

The final three cards

A few details help explain this feature. The stock contains one final deal of three cards. There are no further stock cards after the three-card deal. Dealing places a face-up card on each of the first three columns. This Scorpion version permits its stock deal when columns are empty.

Complete a suit

The following details apply here. All thirteen cards in a collected run must be face up. A completed run must descend from King to Ace in one suit. Moving an unordered group does not make that group a completed sequence. The game removes a qualifying run automatically from the bottom of a column.

Plan around blocked cards

A few details help explain this feature. A move can carry unwanted cards along with a useful leading card. Hint lists legal choices without promising a winning continuation. Replay and Undo let you explore another approach to the same layout. Checking the whole moved group helps you anticipate what will become blocked.
